Police Address the Investigation — November 23, 2022

Ten days after the murders, Moscow Police held another news conference as questions surrounding the investigation continued to grow. Police said there was still no suspect in custody and the murder weapon had not been found. Investigators also revealed the scale of the work underway, including 103 pieces of evidence collected, approximately 4,000 photographs taken, multiple 3D scans of the King Road residence, and hundreds of hours of work by forensic technicians and investigators.

Who Police Said Was Not Involved

Police publicly identified several people they did not believe were involved in the murders: the two surviving roommates, the male seen in the Grub Truck surveillance video, the private driver who took Kaylee and Madison home, the male Kaylee and Madison called multiple times during the early morning hours, and anyone who was at the residence when the 911 call was made.
