Moscow Police revealed another detail about the King Road house on December 1: detectives were aware of a sixth person listed on the lease at 1122 King Road. Police said they did not believe that person was at the residence when the murders occurred.
Still Considered a Targeted Attack
Police said they remained consistent in their belief that the murders were a targeted attack, but investigators had not determined whether the target was the King Road residence itself or one or more of the people inside it. This clarification came after conflicting statements about what police meant when they used the word “targeted.”
The Investigation Was Growing
Police disclosed the scale of the investigation at this point: 113 pieces of physical evidence had been collected and taken to the Idaho State Police crime lab, approximately 4,000 crime-scene photographs had been taken, and investigators had created multiple 3D scans of the King Road residence. More than 260 digital-media submissions had also been sent through the FBI tip portal.
Still No Suspect or Weapon
Despite the growing amount of evidence, police continued to tell the public that no suspect had been identified, no suspects were in custody, and the murder weapon had not been located.
