Conflicting information about whether the victims or the King Road house had been specifically targeted led Moscow Police to issue a clarification on November 30.
A Miscommunication With the Prosecutor’s Office
Earlier that day, officials had made statements suggesting the murders were targeted. Moscow Police later clarified that there had been a miscommunication with the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police said detectives did not know whether the residence or any of the occupants were specifically targeted.
